The Grants committee have recently made their awards to a number of local organisations as a result of their applications - being able to provide funding to local community groups is a major benefit of the Show.

Post the 2023 Show the following organisations received awards.

The Flamingo Pool, The Den, Honiton CIC, Arc, Axminster, Lyme Regis Town Band, Twin Tigers, partnership CIC, Operation Rudolph, Axminster Drama Club, National Coast Watch institution, Shute Primary School, Axminster Heritage and 1st Lyme Valley Scouts.

Flamingo pool was our major beneficiary this year as this was their 25th year and a special year of fundraising. Since Axe Vale Show began it has given £275,553 to Flamingo Pool. Whilst originally set up to fund the pool, since being reconstituted under the charity status, we now give to a wider remit.

Sometimes the projects asked for are large and there is no guarantee that the groups will raise the additional money so in those instances we make time limited pledges. These were awarded to St Michael’s Church, Musbury, Axminster Cricket Club, Chardstock Eco Group, Project Food and Axminster Football Club.
